Escondido United is excited to announce that they will be making the move to join Nomads Soccer Academy.
This announcement and partnership is in an effort to continue to enhance and grow our program in the Escondido and surrounding areas providing quality player development, opportunities for our players to play at the highest competitive levels, and to create a pathway for player advancement.

Escondido United is a non profit youth soccer organization serving children born 2014 - 2001 serving the Escondido community since 2016.

Escondido United is known for having a family based culture that is focused on service to the community, allowing a place for all players to learn the game and develop as well as ensure that players have options without the politics of the larger clubs. Escondido United has shown the ability to compete against top clubs in San Diego in local leagues and tournaments and has won several leagues and multiple tournament championships over the years. The club is excited and ready to take it to the next level.

The Escondido Nomads Program will be led by PJ Charest (President of Escondido United) and Roger Rolim (Technical Director of Escondido United).

PJ has been with Escondido United since 2016 in the role of President as well as head coach of the Boys 2010 team. PJ laid the groundwork and foundation for the organization in the Escondido, has brought in quality and dedicated staff to the program, provided coaching education to the staff, and has successfully brought several teams within the organization to compete at State Cup Events, local and out of market tournaments, international tournaments, and placed teams in competitive brackets over the last several years in Presidio and SDDA. In addition to the club, PJ is also on the coaching staff at Orange Glen High School.
PJ has been an integral part of bringing an affordable and player-focused soccer program to the city of Escondido.

Roger Rolim has been with Escondido United for the past 2 years as Technical Director and head coach of the Boys 2001 and 2002 teams. Roger has 19 years of coaching experience including coaching in the US, Mexico, Brazil, and a tour in China and has played soccer at several different levels since his youth including Clube Atletico, Paranaense Academy, State selected in Parana Brazil, college level and Indoor Primera Fuerza in Mexico. Since joining Escondido United Roger has been an integral part of bringing coaching education and culture to the program. Roger also serves as head of the Orange Glen High School Boys Soccer Program. One of the key focuses of the partnership with Orange Glen High School is to provide a pathway for High School athletes in the community to play at the highest level with Nomads Academy.
